Learning about Young Migrants’ Work and Livelihoods

Focusing on young internal and international migrants in Accra, we are learning that young people are adopting several strategies to generate income and safeguard their livelihoods.

There are differences in the work young women and young men do. However, most of the work relates to ‘hustling’ and doing ‘small jobs’ here and there – whenever an opportunity arises.

We are also starting to learn about how young migrants in Ghana understand ‘power’ in their lives.
